The Breathwork Program
There is no set length to a Breathwork Program although the general consensus is that 10 sessions are needed for an individual to experience fully the transformational power of the breath. I normally suggest that we start with the expectation that the program will be 10 sessions but that we review progress over time and complete the program when it feels right to do so, regardless of how many sessions have taken place.
In general, sessions will take place every two or three weeks. However, the interval is flexible and sometimes it can feel right to do another session in a week’s time, and sometimes to have a slightly longer interval. On average, a program of 10 sessions is likely to spread over 5 or 6 months.
However, it is important to be sure that the therapy and the therapist really feel right for you and I am very happy for you to do what is, in effect, a trial session before deciding whether or not you wish to do a full program. A typical breathwork session takes between 2 and 3 hours.
