Whatever happens during a Breathwork session, it is usual for the Breather to feel relaxed and even blissful as the session ends.  At this point, especially if strong emotions and physical feelings have arisen during the session, the Breather may have a strong feeling of lightness, relief and healing.

In the days and weeks following a breathe, it is not unusual to discover that one is reacting differently to life.  For instance, one may discover that certain situations which might previously have ‘pressed one’s emotional buttons’ no longer have the power to do so.   Often, some of the power is taken out of previous fears and panics.  The ability of emotional responses to cloud judgement may be diminished., and one is often much more in touch with one’s inner energy and creativity.

The effects of a breathwork session last long after the session itself and a client can feel deep internal changes days and even weeks after a session.  Breathwork goes very deep and gets beneath the brain’s defence mechanism which often hampers more conventional dialogue-based therapy.  Not only can it help surface and heal any experiences from this life, but many believe that it can help with traumas from past lives; clients often talk of past life experiences that have surfaced during their breath sessions.  This dissolving of old structure begins to create more flow within the system and allows the Breather to experience a more conscious way of being in the world.  People who have worked with the breath are generally more spiritually connected to themselves and to the world.
